A true-life
story about a Spanish family, a couple and 3 children’s, whose went to Thailand
to a family trip in holidays to spend some quality family time by celebrating
Christmas all together. While they were doing their activities and relaxing,
drastic changes in the climate began to emerge, and a tsunami gets to raze in
their way, thus separating family members and destroying what is in their
environment. The mother and the older child (Luke) go through various
adversities, while fighting with the strong waves and seriously damages the
body of their mother. Will they survive the tsunami disaster and
go home together?
This movie
alone is incredibly striking in terms of special effects and editing. A script
inapplicable to what really happened in Thailand and excessive music at the end
looking for the tears of the viewer. It is also true that there are certain
scenes that will make the most scrupulous look away, but you cannot come out of
a tsunami immaculate. Pain, suffering and survival instinct, all mixed and not
shaken with a few drops of love for the family unit, adorned with a pinch of
special effects is what they offer us in The Impossible, a five-piece puzzle
that by the force of nature is undone and throughout the film it is recomposed
perhaps due to some situations that are a bit forced.
We fully
recommend watching this movie, it has everything to be an attractive movie,
it's nothing monotone, is clever and exiting. Adding the significant value
because the reflection of family history to survive a natural phenomenon as big
and scary as a tsunami, what would you do in a similar situation trying to keep
your family alive?
